Research topic
Subject: Stochastic models for the analysis of endemic whale trajectories in Greenland
One central question in this thesis is to quantify and estimate the effect of the changing Arctic environment on marine mammal behaviors, especially on their annual migration patterns.
We will develop statistical models relating movement processes of animals along their migration route and spatial habitat conditions and preferences.
